Caress Skinwear

I happen to be a very big Caress bodywash fan. So I am very happy to introduce to you all Caress' new Skinwear collection. With this newest collection, now you can shower on your look with Caress body washes and beauty bars for even toned (Evenly Gorgeous), radiant (Glowing Touch), or silky skin (Daily Silk). I was able to try their "latest look" for even tone, Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body wash with burnt brown sugar and karite butter.

What is the first thing us women do when picking out a body wash??
We smell it.

Evenly Gorgeous smells De-lic-ious! Next time your out shopping, smell it, and I'm sure you'll agree. When I used this body wash, i really liked the fact that the brown sugar was an exfoliant. Exfoliating your skin is probably one of the best things we can do for it....get rid of all that dead skin. This body wash definitely gets an "A" from me. However, like most exfoliants, you probably shouldn't use it daily, I would recommend switching it up with one of the other Caress Skinwear products.

Dr. Hippo- Book Giveaway

*CLOSED*

The Dr. Hippo series is a collection of books with adorable animals each with a common childhood illness. Each adorable animal gets (and gets over) his or her illness with the help of a kindly pediatrician hippopotamus named Dr. Hippocrates. Each book in the Dr. Hippo Series is 32 pages and includes a separate laminated Parent Guide written in question/answer format. The Parent Guide answers common questions like: “How can I keep my child comfortable?” and “When should I call the doctor?”

This series is written by pediatrician Dr. Charlotte Cowan with the purpose of publishing medical children's stories that entertain, educate and reassure both parent and child. As a pediatrician, Dr. Cowan developed a strong intuition that children would do better with their illnesses if they both understood what was happening to them and realized that they would get better. Through her books she delivers this message.

My son and I both have fallen in love with these books. He had a little sore throat and immediately wanted me to read him Sadies Sore Throat. As a nurse, I think these books are great not just for the kids but also for parents too to help them understand these common illnesses.

I am happy to announce that one of you will receive my favorite book of this series, The Moose with Loose Poops, and Dr. Cowan would even like to personalize the book for the winning child/ren.

To Enter: Visit Dr. Hippo's site and take a look at these books and tell me which book other than The Moose with Loose Poops you would like.

What Happens In Vegas....

Gets posted online!! I am back from my weekend trip to Vegas!! I seriously had the best time. Everything in Vegas is so grand in scale and over the top its incredible to see. I think everyone should go to Vegas at least once, just to experience it. Even if you don't gamble or party, there is still so much to see.

So our plane left at about 6pm on friday from Boston and unfortunately I didn't get to sit with any of my friends. However, I was in the middle seat and on my left was a plastic surgeon how odd is that because I am an OR nurse! So we actually ended up knowing quite a few of the same people. And on my right was a 25 year old Poker champ on his way back home to Vegas from a tournament in France!! He was such a nice guy too, he was watching a DVD and let me plug my headphones into it so I could watch it too! We chatted for a while, I told him about my blog and he has already visited and left me a comment! HI SCOTT :) !!

Our flight got in around 9pm Vegas time, so we checked into our hotel....the Luxor ( the pyramid) and got ready to go out. Angie and I met a bunch of our guy friends at Tryst at the Wynn which apparently is the "hot" new place in Vegas. The guys had gotten a table right by the dancefloor and kept ordering bottle after bottle of Vodka. The best part about all these guys is that they ALL dance. Its very rare that you hang out with a bunch of guys who dance, but these guys were so much fun. We stayed out until about 4am and got back to the hotel and crashed! We had set our alarm for 9am so we could get up, go eat breakfast, and get ready for the pool at Mandalay Bay. I think we maybe got to the pool around 11am. One of our friends had bought a cabana for the day (which was so cool) at the 21 plus pool. The atmosphere at this pool was amazing. Everyone was walking around with drinks in hand, some were dancing...Angie, and the DJ was bumping out some great tunes. And since this pool was 21+ and European style it was topless. There weren't that many topless women. I'm sure we all know from my previous posts, that I am not shy or modest....and it was my first time in Vegas, so I did go topless for a little while. Now I can say, yes I did go to a topless pool and braved being topless for a bit.

We stayed at the pool until 5pm then went inside Mandalay Bay to a bar to watch the Boston Celtics game....which thankfully they won!! Woo Hoo!! After the game, Angie and I went back to our hotel, napped for a couple hours and rallied ourselves to go back out! We met the guys this time at The Mixx which is at the top of The Hotel. Again we were there until about 4am, so afterwards we just kinda hung out in the casino and had to leave for the airport at 5:30. So, for the first time in YEARS....Miss Blondie pulled an all nighter! Lucky for me I was able to sleep on the plane.

My trip was awesome! I do wish I had just one more day so I could do a little more sightseeing. I'm the type of person that simple things excite me (like seeing palm trees and the mountains) and when I travel I want to see EVERYTHING. This trip was a first of many things for me. It was my first time outside the Eastern time zone, first time I was on a plane for more than 2 1/2 hours, and obviously my first time in the Western part of the country. I didn't do any gambling, I think I played maybe 3 slot machines, but I did party like a rockstar!

But now its back to reality...work and motherhood.
