It's My Blogiversary

That's right people. Today is my one year blogiversary. I can't even believe I've already been blogging for a year....man that flew by! I actually didn't realize it was today until just yesterday....its the blonde, but had I realized sooner I may have been able to plan something. Oh well, maybe next year.

And since I have nothing exciting or funny to share with you, how about I get serious for a moment and reflect on the past blogging year. Ok, you can stop laughing that I said I was gonna be serious. I can be serious. Really. I swear. Sometimes.

I originally started this blog as an outlet to vent about my daily life. Not so much bitch and complain but to really just like an online journal. I quickly became enthralled in the blogosphere and all it had to offer. I had never read any blogs before, except Perez Hilton, but he's a celebrity now. I learned so much about myself and blogging throughout the year and I've made some amazing "online" friends. And yes, most of them I would consider friends. I have had a first hand look at how powerful and influential bloggers are. It's great to find people who are in the same situation as you and know exactly what you are going through. With the help of some of the women I've met online I have built my website into exactly what I want.

For the first six months I didn't really post as much and as often and I had no desire to do product reviews or giveaways. I was approached by a company for my first review in January and absolutely loved every minute of it. I got to share MY opinion in detail of a product that I reviewed. It goes far beyond "i like it." I get to describe all the qualities of these products that I try and hopefully give my readers enough information about the product that they can decide for themselves whether or not it would be a good fit for them or their family.

When i started doing the product reviews that's when I started blogging more often. This is my hobby and I enjoy it. I just hope you all enjoy reading what I have to say and continue to visit me.

Viva Las Vegas!!

Last night, I went out and celebrated my newly Single life with my girls and some guy friends. And of course, we partied like rockstars. We went to two bars, had some yummy shots, and quite a few vodka-cranberries during the night. My ex had called me several times...its funny how they always want you back when they know you are out having fun and over them. Don't worry, I don't go back to my exes...ever. Your ex is your ex for a reason! Thats my motto.

So anyways, I crashed at my friend Angies house and somehow at the end of the night we ended up with a trip booked for Vegas in May!! How the hell did that happen? I've never been to Vegas before, so I'm super excited to go but we obviously didn't think it through....or at all. We were so impulsive. We both woke up this morning saying, "Dude, we're going to Vegas. Haha." Which ulitmately means I have 5 weeks to get my body into bikini shape!!

Crowns and Poison

Thursday was an extremely long day for me. I usually work wednesdays from 11am to 11pm, however around 7pm we got an emergency surgery in and i was there until 2am. After picking up Hunter and stopping at McNasty's ( i hadn't eaten dinner yet), i finally got into bed about 3am.

Not so bad, right?

Oh but then the phone rang at 5:50am. Now who would call me that friggin early on my day off.

Ah, the hospital! I had to go in for another emergency case. Luckily, my call ends at 7:30am and i get relieved and leave. However, now the real fun begins!

I rush home to get Hunter to his dentist appointment. This is the day he could possibly be getting a crown. Thankfully, he has a wonderful dentist who said it was close to the nerve but she put a liner over it instead and just put a filling in. (sigh of relief)! So no crown! I should send her a card for saving me so much money!

So, after the dentist, as i'm running on 2 1/2 hours of sleep with a big night ahead of me, where do you think we go?

The Mall of course!!

Well, i needed something to wear for the evening. I promised myself i would be in-and-out. Do you honestly think that i could do that?? Hell no! I walked past my favorite store and noticed a HUGE sale! The entire store was 50-75% off! How could i resist?! Of course i didn't find anything to wear for that night but after a few dollars ( i can't say how much) later i left. A few more stores and 2 hours later i finally found something.

By the time i get home its now 1pm and finally naptime! Luckily Hunter was tired too, so we both napped. So i slept until about 4 when my grandmother came to babysit for me. Oh but what a wonderul nap it was! I woke up refreshed, well as much as i can be, and so ready for my big night! How much fun was i gonna have! Do you want to know what i did?

I went to the Poison concert!!

Yup, with the star of Rock of Love himself!! Brett Michaels!

This was my first Poison concert ever and it definitely won't be the last! It was the best concert i have ever been to and i've been to a lot! The atmosphere was incredible and the band was phenomenal! Right before the encore, a couple from the third row were leaving and handed my friends boyfriend his tickets. So i made her take my camera and she got some very up-close pics of Brett and C.C.
