Lately i've been suffering from a complete lack of motivation. To do anything! Yesterday, i pretty much layed on the couch until 5pm when finally i got my ass up to clean my house. I haven't even been motivated to blog. Not that i've had that much to blog about anyways. But being unmotivated, is kinda depressing. I don't even feel like cooking. Which is soo not like me at all. I love cooking. The weather isn't too bad either. It certainly doesn't feel like summer today but it's not rainy or crappy or anything, so i can't blame that. This week i'm on vacation from work and haven't accomplished anything. Alright, except for cleaning my house. Oh, and the booze cruise i went on on Saturday. But i really haven't done anything with Hunter. We did the park today and the library but that was all. I need help motivating myself and getting my ass in gear to do something with my days!! ARGH! It's frustrating to not feel like doing anything but then feeling like you're entire day was just wasted. Anybody have any ideas?!?
Just to give you an update, i have found someone to pick Hunter up from school. YAY!! Unfortunately for me, she wants almost $200 a month just to pick him up and drop him off at my grandmothers. I think its kind of a lot of money to just drive him, i mean she's not babysitting him or anything. But whatever, who am i to complain. I was stuck in a pickle and she's willing to help me out...i'll take it! This couldn't have come at a more perfect time b/c school starts in week from tomorrow. Yippie!!
Today's life tip is a pretty good one. Its an easy one that most of us probably practice daily...I know i do. So here is How to Live a Happier, Healthier Life tip #6:

Usually i try not to rant and rave on my blog too much but its my blog and i'll rant if i want to. So this is a rant. Hunter starts school in two weeks. I live in a town that is 20minutes away from the rest of my family. Now, i work 11am to 11pm so all last year i paid my cousin to pick him up after school and bring him to my grandmothers. During the summer my cousin watches him on wednesdays. So i called her today to let her know that this wednesday would be the last day i drop him off for the summer b/c i'm on vacation next week and he starts school the following week. I also just wanted to make sure she was still going to pick him up again this year. To which she informed me she wasn't.
Um...what?!? It's two weeks before school starts! Thanks for calling and giving me some notice ahead of time. (sarcastic). What the hell am i gonna do now?!? I am completely stressed and screwed. I don't really know many people in my town and most of the mothers work. I know it will work out somehow but i just can't help but worry about it now.
It's time for mondays How to live a happier, healthier life tip. This one is a good one and i think i've already accomplished it. So here is tip #5:
Play more games and read more books than you did in 2007.
I'm turning into my mother. There I said it! This is not something that is easy to admit. I came to this realization while school shopping with Hunter today. I always swore I wouldn't be like her but.....it kills me to say, she was right.
We were shopping for sneakers and he really wants those "skater boy" sneakers. Fine. I don't care. Yeah....umm...hello!?! They're like $60!! First of all, at the beginning of the summer his shoe size was 11 and now its a 13!! There is no way i'm paying $60 for sneakers when he's probably gonna out grow them in 2 months and besides he's only six! I don't even spend that much on shoes for myself.
So off to Walmart we went. Now, you gotta love Walmart, i mean the store has everything! And of course they had their own version of "skater boy" sneakers and we liked them. They were "cool." Besides who's gonna notice that they don't say "DC" or "etnies." Not a bunch of six and seven year olds that's for sure. And the best part was they were only $13! Talk about a bargain!
Now here's where i turned into my mother. Hunter wants to wear them out of the store. I say absolutely not, they are for school. He then starts to argue. He wants to wear them before school and if he can't then he doesn't want them. Oh no no! I'm buying these now b/c i know from past experience if i don't get them now, they won't have his size later on. Besides, i can't let him win. He starts to cry and get mad at me. I stick my ground and say "nope. they are for school only. You can wear them in two weeks when school starts." After about ten minutes of a pouting face he realizes he's not getting his way and drops it.
I can remember being younger and being the exact same way. I always wanted to wear my new clothes and shoes the moment i got them, and being told no that i would have to wait for school. I hated that! But, now as a parent, i can totally understand! I'm not buying new clothes and shoes for him to go back to school only to let him wear them early and ruin them. Hell no! He can ruin them after school has started.
It's that time of the week again!! Candid Carrie's Fx4!!! Last week we went out on a friend of ours boat to fish and swim. Hunter caught his very first stripped bass!
Read more...I cannot believe it! I won yet another award!! I'm thrilled and feeling the love! I received this award from Jess who i didn't even know read my blog never mind liked it!

11. I'm a total reality t.v. junkie!!
12. I never work-out! ( i have really good genetics!)
13. I hate the cold and snow but will probably never leave New England.
So there it is! 13 of the most random facts i could possibly think of!
I live in a condo complex that has a pool. So the other day, Hunter and i went down to the pool for a little while. There was a little boy the same age as Hunter with his dad there. So, inevitably the boys swam together. At one point I heard the little boy ask Hunter about his dad. To which Hunter replied, "i dont have a dad." And of course the little boy starts saying ,'yes you do, everyone has a dad' and that's about the point where his father intervened.
Now, this is not an uncommon question or answer for Hunter. His father hasn't seen him in over 2 1/2 years and even before then he was always in-and-out of his life. I've always talked to him about it and explained to him that not everyone has a dad or even a mom. I always made it seem like its no big deal and for him its just the way it is he really doesn't know any different. However, i found that since he started kindergarten last year, it seems to be bothering him a lot now. I think he sees all his friends at school with their dads and feels like he's missing out on something. Now, he gets sad when he tells people he doesn't have a dad, and he'll say things like he wishes he had a dad. He knows who is father is, but since he isn't part of his life anymore he thinks he'll get a "new" dad someday. And i want you to know that he does have a father figure in his life. My grandfather, who is only 67, and Hunter are extremely close. They do so much together, and my son wants to be just like him when he grows up. I mean, they go out lobstering together, to motorcycle shows, all sorts of stuff. I couldn't ask for a better father figure for him. They are truely two peas in a pod. When they made fathers day gifts at school he made it for his papa. But even still, there is a small void in his life that neither myself nor my grandfather can fill.
It just breaks my heart.
Here is tip number 4, of Monday's How to Live a Happier, Healthier Life. I think that i should start to practice this one.
When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, "My purpose is to______today."
Thursday was an extremely long day for me. I usually work wednesdays from 11am to 11pm, however around 7pm we got an emergency surgery in and i was there until 2am. After picking up Hunter and stopping at McNasty's ( i hadn't eaten dinner yet), i finally got into bed about 3am.
For today's Foto I decided to put up pictures from my mini-vaca to the Cape last weekend. The first night we were there i convinced my mom to go to the beach to watch the sunset. A first for us all. So i'm putting up three of my favorite pictures from the weekend b/c i couldn't choose just one.
How cool is that?!? We caught him just at the right moment.
Mine was a little too soon but still a cool shot.
A perfect Cape Cod sunset!
If you wanna join in all the Foto Fun, head on over to Candid Carrie and let her know you wanna participate!
This picture really needs no introduction, all i can say is that they are home-grown zucchini's.
I know what your thinking....what is in their water?!?
Here we are in week 3 of my Monday's "How to live a happier, healthier life" Tip. I hope you are using some of these tips. Let me know if you are and if they help at all. This week's tip is my favorite. When you read it, it makes sense how it would help. I actually practice this and i have to admit, it was the best thing i ever did. How i lived without it is beyond me!
So now tip #3:
Buy a DVR and tape your late night shows and get more sleep.
