You could say I have a sweet tooth but that would be a lie. An obsession with sweets sounds a little more honest. I'm really not a big cake person, never have been. I never eat cake at birthday parties because I just don't think they taste all that good. But really, have you ever had a delicious birthday cake from a supermarket? Don't kid yourself. So, when I was given the opportunity to try a
gourmet cake from Bake Me A Wish I jumped on it. Partly because my stomach was saying, "Mmm...sweets," and my head was saying, "It's gotta be better than the supermarket."

I chose the Cookies N Cream Singular Sensations cake and I'm not even kidding when I tell you that Hunter and I devoured that cake in one sitting. I was happy but my waistline probably wasn't. We literally opened it the second we were done with dinner. It was such a perfectly size cake for the two of us...okay so I probably didn't need help eating it and it was in the cutest little box and included a greeting card. Yes, packaging does count. To be completely honest, sitting here writing this kinda sucks because my mouth is watering just thinking about how delicious that cake was.......and now its gone. It was perfectly moist and just yummy in every way. I probably even licked the box when I was done, I can't remember I was in such a state of bliss.
These are perfect little
birthday cakes or even as a dessert at a BBQ. Lucky for me, Hunter's birthday is in September and I have now just found the perfect cake. With cakes like Vanilla Bean Cake, Red Velvet Chocolate Cake, Tiramisu Cake, and Peanut Butter Mousse Cake there is definitely a cake for everyones taste buds. You've really got to try these!
Not only do they make fantastic cakes but they also have what they call "Operation: Birthday Cake." A program for our soldiers overseas!! And as the sister and grand daughter of Marines, this really means a lot to me.
5% of any cake order goes to Bake Me A Wish!’s Operation: Birthday Cake, which, together with their partner Soldiers’ Angels donates birthday cakes each month to soldiers overseas who are having a birthday. As you can imagine it is a great morale booster to a soldier to be remembered on their birthday.
How awesome is that? Makes you want to hop over there and buy a bunch of cakes, doesn't it.
