Chicken Pox in 2009??

When you watch this video notice how I purposely pronounce my "R"s. I find it hilarious that after 3 drinks I pronounce them.
Oh and I have NO idea what was on TV behind me. It was left on Nickelodeon or something.

What's Wrong with this Picture?

A new pastry shop just opened up in my town, so I decided to take a little trip there today with Hunter. I am a big pastry fan and I had heard they had cannolis (which happen to be my fav) so I had to go. We walked in to pastry heaven!! I swear there was harmonious "aahhs" coming right out of the glass cases which held the most delectable treats. I already knew I was getting a couple four cannolis...hey don't judge okay....so it was up to Hunter to decide what he wanted. He took his time looking over all the apple turnovers with whipped cream; chocolate eclairs; cupcakes in chocolate, red velvet, vanilla, and lemon; and giant M & M cookies. Such a big decision with so many yummy goodies and Mama was letting him get whatever non-healthy fatty treat he wanted.

So

What

Do

You

Think

He

Ordered???

A Fruit Tart!!

A friggin fruit tart!! With all the delicious junk food staring him in the face, he picks a fruit tart. Sure, I should be happy that he picked out something healthy but who's supposed to be setting the better example of good eating habits? Because there I stood with my box of 4 cannolis, that I had no intentions of sharing, and there was my 7 year old asking for a fruit tart. The only healthy item in the entire place! What a way to make me feel like a giant fatty!!

My Biggest Fear

Fear. We all have at least one thing we are afraid of. We must, right? I mean besides the obvious, fear of something happening to your child or loved ones, is there something that just absolutely scares the shit out of you?

I have one. And I get nauseaus in the pit of my stomach, sweaty palms, I start to shake, I'm completely frozen with fear, the works! Its pretty bad, its a real fear not just something I'm afraid of. Fortunately for me, its not something I encounter on a regular basis and I am able to keep away from it.

So you wanna know what it is?

Promise you wont laugh.

Ferris Wheels.

I know what you're thinking. What?! A ferris wheel?? But yes, its a legitimate fear of mine. I'm not sure why or how it started but I do remember when. I was 13 and at an amusement park with a bunch of friends. They had what was called the "Collossal" Ferris Wheel. So we all piled on. Well as soon as we got to the top and stopped, I started to panic. I was scared shit! I was crying and shaking, my friends had no idea what was wrong. As soon as we came back down, I made them stop and let me off.

I just can't do it. I'm not afraid of heights or rollercoasters or anything like that, just the damn ferris wheel. I can't stand when it stops at the top and swings, it freaks me out. I always feel like the stupid bucket thing i'm sitting in is gonna break off and fall.

I take Hunter to the local carnival when it comes to town every spring and when he was 3 he wanted to go on the ferris wheel. I thought that maybe since I was older, my fear would be gone and I could do it. Haha! Wrong!! About half way up, i started to panic. I froze up, started shaking, and the tears started streaming down my face. Of course, my boyfriend at the time was sitting across from me and started to move over to me to comfort me, but I freaked out because he was rocking it. Needless to say, as soon as we got back to the ground I made them stop and let me off.

Now, I wont even attempt to go on them. I let Hunter go on with someone else and he'll tell them, "Oh, my momma can't go on. She's afraid. She cries."

Yup, thats my biggest fear.

I got this acronym from the Urban Dictionary and I like it!!

FEAR

Fuck
Everything
And
Run

Block-tanic!

A sinking ship?

Think back to about 10 years ago. Its saturday night and you and your honey decide to stay in and rent a flick. But before you get all cozy on the couch and pop the popcorn where do you go? You head to Blockbuster Video Store. Maybe you head to the new release wall or maybe the romantic comedy....depending on your mood i guess.

Yeah, remember those days of renting movies at Blockbuster? You always had to worry what day they were due back to avoid the $3 late charges. That big chain drove all the mom and pop video rental stores right out of town. Now that was before we had Netflix, On Demand, DVR's, and soon followed by Blockbuster rentals online. So here's what i was thinking today.

How the hell is Blockbuster still in business?? Seriously! Does anybody even go to them anymore?? I can't even tell you the last time i went into a blockbuster video store. With things like On Demand, i can rent a movie from the comfort of my own couch. No more getting off my ass in sweatpants hopeing i dont run into anyone i know just to get a chick flick for my lonely self. I swear i dont know a single person who still rents videos from their store. And with the economy the way it is....how have they not filed for Chapter 11 yet?? I bet its secretly run by the government...or maybe the mafia.

Let's face it, if Blockbuster was a horse it would've been shot by now!

Ummm...is it me??

I was looking through the Brookstone catalog at work the other day, when on page 5 i saw this:

Ahhh...our Spot personal massagers really hit the spot. Handheld and rechargeable, Spot personal massagers from Brookstone are perfect for soothing away tension and rejuvenating your body anytime you need it. With one of these handheld massagers, you can focus in on sore muscles, pamper tired feet or deliver three adjustable levels of vibration to any part of your body. Spot personal massagers are available in three colors and run up to 40 minutes on a single charge.
Order one of Brookstone’s Spot handheld personal massagers today to feel more relaxed and like yourself again...maybe even better.

Is it me or does anyone else think it looks like something out of Athenas?? I dunno, maybe my mind was in the gutter but as soon as i saw it i laughed. Then i read the description. Yup, my mind is still there. The description makes it sound even better than some of my *ahem*... toys. C'mon, its rechargeable and the battery lasts 40 minutes!! Anyways, i decided to do a little investigating on this product on their website, and read some of the customer reviews. Haha! Allow me to share with you.

Customer #1 said: "it is awesome. the high speed should be stronger though. needs more horsepower"
hmmm....couldn't quite hit the "spot" eh?!

Customer #2 said: "Make sure it is always charged and ready to go. Great by yourself or with a partner massaging your tired muscles."
yes, having a partner help could improve and excite certain aspects of your intimacy. I agree!

Customer #3 said: "Works well, does the job, can be used over and over!"
Reusable is important and environmentally friendly!

And my personal favorite,
Customer #4 said: "could have a rotating head"
I kid you not, someone actually said that.

WTF??!!!!!

This confuses the hell out of me. Yesterday and today was absolutely FRIGID!! It even snowed a litte this morning. I live in Boston so this is normal weather for December. You'd expect cold as the arctic temps and winds that could chill your ears off. The temps have been 20 degrees and below the past couple days.

Tomorrow....they're predicting temperatures to be in the upper 50's and low 60's. WHAT?!? How can it possibly go from one extreme to the next. Now i know its New England and all but seriously....even this is odd!! Do you think maybe its.....Global Warming?? That's what i blame everything on nowadays.

Miss Blondie:
Why were you late for work?? Global Warming
Why haven't you blogged in a couple days?? Global Warming
Why isn't supper ready?? Global Warming

You see, you can blame everything on Global Warming. In all seriousness, i do think that maybe this CRAZY ASS weather is directly related to Global Warming.

What do you think???

So Hunter's soccer game got cancelled today so i made him put on his jersey so i could take a picture and post about it. He was less than happy about it. I thought i'd let you all be the judge on whether or not you think the color of his team shirts are red-raspberry (like they say) or hot pink (like i say).

You decide:

I still say its friggin Hot Pink!! Although, i have to admit, he does look kinda cute in it.
